Challenge

Silgan, a leading packaging manufacturer, wanted to create innovative metal packaging and a prestigious printed greeting card for its European VIP business partners. The aim of the project was to offer a product that would go beyond the usual packaging standards, focusing on interactivity, luxury appearance and a unique experience.

Process and solution

By understanding the client's needs and expectations, I designed a solution that incorporates design details and interactive elements.
A metallic packaging combining aesthetics and innovation has been designed. The Interactive Solution allows when the bottle is moved out of the packaging due to friction, it triggers the smell associated with Jägermeister spirits. This sensory experience reflects the slogan "We can even smell good", which adds value to the packaging.

The printed greeting card is designed to accompany the packaging. Its design and content emphasise the personal touch and ensure a high level of communication with VIP partners.

Result

The final product impressed European VIP business partners and further solidified Silgan's reputation as an innovative and reliable partner. The interactive packaging with scent surprised the recipients and highlighted the creativity and technical sophistication of Silgan's solutions.

Role in the project

As designer I was responsible for the concept development, the design of the metal packaging and the greeting cards, as well as the coordination of all phases of the project. The focus was on creating a good and positive user experience, incorporating functional and aesthetic elements.
